Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly energetic self-starter with a passion for tools, technology, and quality. As a White Box QA Engineer, you will use your technical knowledge to perform functional, stress, performance and inter-operability tests using off the shelf tools and tools you create.  You will also build or assemble the tools necessary to enhance our automated tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute appropriate functional and stress tests to ensure high quality.
  • Develop, implement, and execute appropriate performance tests to measure application performance in large-scale deployments.
  • Maintain a dashboard for scheduling/tracking performance and load tests.
  • Recommend and develop new testing tools for QA.
  • Work with the product team to ensure a successful and high quality release.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years testing web-based enterprise software products.
  • 4+ years using test automation technology.
  • 4+ years hands on coding/scripting experience in Perl, Python, Java, and/or Unix shells in a test environment.
  • 4+ years hands on experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of XML, Tomcat, J2EE apps, and AJAX technologies.
  • Knowledgeable about testing methodologies, and familiarity with defect reporting, reports standardization, and entrance and exit criteria.
  • Experience with SQL query optimization and performance tuning is a plus.
  • Experience with automation and development in cross platform environment is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
