Christie’s Blog:

The Life of an engineering recruiter in the Silicon Valley-

I live, work and play in the bay area. Love it or hate it, the valley is a hot spot for technology and innovation. I have been recruiting smack dab here in the Silicon Valley for 10 years connecting kick a$$ engineers with kick a$$ companies AND vice versa.

My clients – I have hired technologists for companies with as little as 2 employees to as many as more than 6K! My clients include, a few funded stealth mode start ups within the Web 2.0 space, fast growing established start ups such as Mirapoint, and big players such as AOL and Google….. to name a few. I love what I do, but I admit there are days when I want to literally pull out my hair. LOL!

I work too much, spend entirely too much time online, and I am thankful for the inventions of laptops, wireless networks, spell checkers and sugar free redbull. I live in Santa Cruz, so yes, I am one of those insane people who commute over Highway 17 to get to work. I have created this blog to share my love of the bay area, technology, recruitment, my ability (most days) to balance my insanely busy career, motherhood, life & love in the chaotic world which I not only created but love. I am a big fan of GOOD coffee, the beach, cooking, and live music.

My interests are social networking, media, podcasting, blogging, video, messaging, mail, search, smartphones, mobile and most consumer application products. I am eager to learn more about technology and innovation.

Please note, this Blog is entirely MY OPINION and not my clients, my employers, my sisters, my carpool buddies (when I had them), or anyone else. Just me and my two pennies!

Cheers-

Christie

    Hi Christie,
I stumbled upon your site while searching for Web 2.0 for recruiters. Thought to just leave a note behind to let you know that I dig your site name and your area of recruitment. It must be exciting and I wish you well!

    YOU ARE DIFFERENT CHRISTIE!!!

I like your style of recruiting. You seems to be more creative then other recruiters in Silicon Valley.

    Keep the spirits high!

Interesting site. Totally agree with you, I oversee a whole lot of recruiting efforts here in the Washington DC area. Love your approach.

I’m trying to track down who would have info for the Spring Faith Veterlli McPherson and Sergio Yruel “Spring Benefit”. Do you know who I can contact. His sisters would like to help.

    Thanks,

    Joya
